I'm incredibly proud to see Ivana Chubbuck featured in The Hollywood Reporter Australia, following her return to Australia for the first time in a decade.
The feature, "Ivana Chubbuck: The Woman Behind Hollywood's Most Influential Acting Method," explores the philosophy and extraordinary career behind one of the world's most influential acting coaches.
Ivana's client list includes Academy Award winners and some of the biggest names in entertainment — from Charlize Theron, Halle Berry and Brad Pitt to Sylvester Stallone, Jim Carrey, Gal Gadot, Jared Leto, Travis Fimmel and Beyoncé.
Her book, The Power of the Actor, has become essential reading for generations of actors, while the Chubbuck Technique is taught around the world. But what makes this feature particularly special is that it goes deeper than Ivana's Hollywood credentials.
It explores her fascination with human behaviour, the psychology behind her technique, and her belief that actors can transform pain, fear, trauma, and personal experience into something powerful.
The story also brings Ivana's Australian return full circle.
Her Sydney masterclass was spearheaded by certified Chubbuck Technique teacher Kate Jaggard, founder of Actors Room Byron Bay, in partnership with Acting Mastery Academy, founded by filmmakers Benjamin and Holly-Anna Mathews.

But the bigger story was a woman whose ideas have influenced generations of actors, whose methodology has been used by some of Hollywood's most successful performers, and whose work ultimately explores something much more universal: human behaviour.
That's the story that creates the opportunity for a deeper editorial feature.
And that's what great media relations should do — move beyond simply announcing an event, product or project and uncover the story that makes an editor want to explore it.
