So you want to get your film out into the world? What now?

Over the past four years, we’ve worked with a variety of indie filmmakers, media outlets, and industries, and we thought it might be helpful if we share with you some tips and ideas learned over the years for marketing and selling your film.

Before you get to this stage, you need to think about your marketing material. This will be a reflection of your film, team, ability, and style. In order to pitch your film to someone else, you need to be able to convey the WHY in writing and electronically. Whether you are in pre-production and seeking investors or whether you’re ready for marketing – you always need clear and concise ideas.

In addition to your logline and synopsis, you need much more material… and there are many tools in the toolbox: EPKs (electronic press kit – a PITCH DECK), biographies, one pagers, imagery, and of course, the trailer. We will break down how to approach these tasks so you can make your own. We will assume you’ve done your trailer and focus on the business document- The EPK.

Preparing this material is an important stepping stone to getting your film SEEN as a trailer and logline sometimes aren’t enough to SELL your idea.
