Sunday June 10, 2019: Corey Feldman, Dawn Dunning, Michael Leoni and the cast of Famous held a special post-show talkback as they joined forces to collectively light up the sky in Hollywood to move the #MeToo conversation forward.

Daily Mail was there for interviews prior and you can check out the article HERE

It was a passionate conversation full of emotions as Corey and Dawn shared their personal experiences and shared their views on the steps forward to protect future generations from sexual abuse. Audience members were vulnerable as they shared their experiences and as a collective the room hoped this conversation would help those in the room as well as do something to create change.

Famous is a theatre play that sheds light on a topic that so many don’t want to discuss – the fact that men are also victims of sexual abuse. Writer-Director Michael Leoni sets the story 23 years before the #MeToo movement broke. It focuses the storyline on the children, young men and women abused in the entertainment industry and the tragic toll it takes on their lives. However, it’s about more than Hollywood as this happens to boys, girls, men, and women everywhere, yet men aren’t part of the conversation. Something has to change!

MORE:     About LA-based stage-production: Famous

Set in 1994, Famous takes us into the mind of Jason Mast; a young, Oscar-nominated actor who is battling with his past and the trauma it’s caused. Driven by a devastating need to expose the truth, his actions ignite a chain of events that push the boundaries of real friendship and reveal the true cost of fame.

Corey Feldman / #Kids2 movement

Equally, Famous brings into focus the #Kids2 movement (which is Corey Feldman’s brainchild in response to #Metoo). Until now, this movement has mostly focused on adult female victims. There was even a #mentoo, but Corey’s question remains, what about the children? In his words, “Pedophilia is Hollywood’s biggest problem, and like a pandemic that is quickly spreading worldwide, it must be contained at all costs.” We can not keep ignoring our most important issue: preserving the innocence of children. It is for this reason that Corey began the #Kids2 hashtag, as well as working as the Ambassador for CHILD USA to change the statute of limitation laws state by state across the country. This year alone, they pushed back the Statute in NY and NJ and are now working on PA and CA. In addition to this, Corey has been hard at work producing his own documentary to further expose the suffering he and his best friend, Corey Haim, endured as children in the industry. It also examines the origins of this terrible phenomenon. Brian Herzlinger is directing Corey’s documentary, which is titled TRUTH: The Rape of 2 Corey’s. The film is now in its final stages of production.
