Walk Through Time For Charity
We are delighted to be working with Fight Cancer on the 2015 Red Ball. It is with pleasure we announce that special guests and Fight Cancer Foundation Patrons Deborra-lee Furness & Hugh Jackman will be attending the 23rd anniversary of Red Ball on Saturday 5 September.
Hailed as one of Melbourne’s signature charity events, the iconic Red Ball will amaze guests with an outstanding larger-than-life experience, raising funds for Fight Cancer Foundation’s vital initiatives and programs.
This years’ theatrical Red Ball will be hosted by Australian TV icon, Kerri-Anne Kennerley, with celebrations and entertainment galore and a theme based on the set of a classic black-and-white 1950’s TV show, where guests will be taken back in time to the golden era of TV.
The stars will be out to shine on the evening, with dedicated humanitarians Deborra-lee Furness and Hugh Jackman continuing their unrelenting support of Fight Cancer Foundation’s mission to provide care, treatment and support for cancer patients and their families and fund vital cancer research.
“We are thrilled to be attending another Red Ball with the beautiful Fight Cancer Foundation family” said Deborra-lee and Hugh. “The work they do with and for families who are doing it tough is nothing short of incredible and it’s always such a fun event full of generous, uplifting energy!” they said.
The successful sell-out event will see guests enjoy sumptuous food and wines from the Grand Hyatt’s award winning banquet menu and marvel at some amazing big-ticket raffle and auction items including a Turtle Island holiday, spectacular artworks and a special voicemail recording by Hugh Jackman.
With a line-up of stunning performances, this year will feature a pocket-version of the first-ever Australian production of the Broadway classic Dreamgirls along with a dazzling production set and plenty of thrilling vintage surprises to keep guests on the edge of their seats.
With an impressive list of popular celebrity supporters and patrons, the star-studded Red Ball is a hit with Melbourne’s elite. For the first time, the gala Red Ball will be held at the magnificent Grand Hyatt and in a once-only opportunity, will incorporate different locations within the Grand Hyatt during the evening.
This years’ Red Ball is proudly supported by Foxtel, Prancing Horse Estate, Paspaley, The Hour Glass, Seven Network, Grand Hyatt, MiTec Medical Publishing, Lojac, GB Galvanising and PKF.
Over the years, Red Ball has raised millions of dollars to fund Fight Cancer Foundation’s lifesaving programs and has hosted some out-of-this-world lavish and spectacular events, from ice-cream trucks to huge orchestras with Hugh Jackman’s Back on Broadway spectacular and a full scale circus. Red Ball is the ‘must attend’ gala of the year.
